The area covered by Resulima is the Lima Valley and Lower Cávado, covering approximately 1,743 km2, and includes the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Barcelos, Esposende, Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima, and Viana do Castelo, encompassing a population of approximately 311,467 inhabitants.

EGF, along with these six municipalities, are the shareholders of Resulima.

TECHNICAL MODEL OF THE RESULIMA MULTIMUNICIPAL SYSTEM

The Technical Model of the Resulima Multimunicipal System includes infrastructure related to waste reception/treatment, highlighting the importance of:

1 Waste Recovery Unit (located in Paradela – Barcelos) which includes: automated sorting center, mechanical and biological treatment, sanitary landfill, and leachate treatment plant;

3 recycling centers (located in Vila Fria - Viana do Castelo, in Paradela - Barcelos and in Oliveira - Arcos de Valdevez);
1 platform for receiving Used Cooking Oils (located in Vila Fria - Viana do Castelo);
2 platforms for receiving Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (located in Vila Fria - Viana do Castelo and in Oliveira - Arcos de Valdevez);
1 Biogas Energy Recovery Plant (located in Vila Fria - Viana do Castelo);
1 transfer station (located in Vila Fria - Viana do Castelo);
1 transfer station (located in Oliveira - Arcos de Valdevez);
2,278 recycling points distributed across the six municipalities.
