Implementation of the new Resulima brand.

The year 2016 marked the implementation of the new Resulima brand, underpinned by a group strategy that embodies a more integrated way of working. This brand was implemented across the company's various communication channels and disseminated to all employees, partners, and stakeholders, with the aim of renewing the image and enabling better identification with Resulima's values.

2014
Amendment to the Statutes of Resulima

Through Decree-Law No. 101/2014, of July 2, the statutes of Resulima, S.A. are amended.

2011
Placement of oil collection points and commencement of selective collection of used cooking oil.

In the second half of 2011, the selective collection of used cooking oil (UCO) was initiated for subsequent recycling.

2010
Start of electricity production

In August 2010, electricity production began with the commissioning of the Biogas Energy Recovery Plant (CVEB), with an installed capacity of 2.0 MW, which allows the production and injection into the national electricity grid of approximately 15 GWh of electricity per year from biogas generated at the landfill.

2007
Resulima's certification based on environmental, quality, safety, and occupational health standards.

The implementation of the integrated management system culminates in certification according to the environmental (ISO 14001), quality (ISO 9001), and occupational health and safety (OHSAS 18001) standards.

Redesign of the Leachate Treatment Plant

The Leachate Treatment Plant (ETAL) was redesigned, utilizing physical-chemical and biological treatment with the aim of ensuring effective treatment of the leachate generated at the landfill.

Arcos de Valdevez Transfer Station begins operation.

In August 2001, the Arcos de Valdevez Transfer Station, located in the parish of Oliveira, began operating.

1999
Installation of recycling points and commencement of selective waste collection at the recycling points.

In May 1999, the manual sorting center, located in Viana do Castelo, began operating.

1998
Start of operations at the Vale do Lima and Baixo Cuiabá Sanitary Landfill

On December 18, 1998, the Vale do Lima and Baixo Cávado Sanitary Landfill, located in Viana do Castelo, was inaugurated and began operating.

1996
Resulima Constitution

Through Decree-Law No. 114/96, of August 5th, the multi-municipal system for sorting, selective collection, recovery and treatment of urban solid waste in the Lima Valley and Lower Cávado region was created, integrating the municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Barcelos, Esposende, Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo. The company RESULIMA – Valorização e Tratamento de Resíduos Sólidos, S.A. was thus established.
